The automotive industry is currently in a state of upheaval. In addition to electromobility, which is currently the focus of attention, further improvements to combustion engines and the development of other technologies such as fuel cells or hydrogen propulsion are being driven forward, all with a focus on minimizing pollutants and CO2 emissions to protect the environment. This is where IAV's state-of-the-art Materials Science Lab provides support with analytical and simulation tools. Both basic research and series development are carried out in close cooperation with automobile manufacturers. There is therefore a broad spectrum of topics and methods, from analytics to simulation, from the chemistry of batteries, materials and fuel cells to the design and integration of exhaust systems and sensor technology.

Your Tasks:

  • You are responsible for the documentation of test parts and the test setup of battery cells.
  • You will program test protocols.
  • You will provide support during test execution and evaluation.
  • You will create and calibrate battery cell models and carry out model comparisons.

Necessary Skills:

  • Advanced degree in engineering or natural sciences
  • Basic understanding of physical-chemical and thermodynamic processes
  • Natural handling of common EDP (MS-Office etc.)
  • Strong analytical thinking skills
  • Independent, solution-oriented way of working and high level of commitment
  • German language skills of at least C1 level and English language skills of at least B2 level

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of programming and simulation 
  • Team and communication skills
  • High degree of personal responsibility
  • Willingness to work on project tasks independently and with a high level of commitment

 

Remuneration is based on our collective wage and salary agreement. The current monthly salary for this position is EUR 979.00.
