This challenge awaits you:
We develop and test vehicle software for almost every vehicle function and all vehicle components for well-known car manufacturers. Our customers benefit from our technical experience and our knowledge of modern system architectures and software development processes. In order to extend our innovative lead, we continue to optimize and develop our system development processes and tool chains. One approach is complete virtualization, taking into account technological approaches such as software-defined-anything (SDx). This will enable virtual system protection, which will become increasingly important in the future.
We are now looking for committed and motivated students who are enthusiastic about development and validation system architectures and software development processes in the automotive business and would like to get involved in an innovative field of development.
Your Tasks:
- You are involved in the further development of prototype and implementation concepts, in particular for web applications.
- You accompany the prototypical/initial implementation (proof-of-concept or minimum viable product) from development to production maturity, with a focus on the front end.
- You research and prepare the state of the art as well as the state of science on the topics of “systems engineering tool landscapes”, “tool orchestration” and “tool chain visualization”, especially with regard to the use of tools in different engineering development steps (e.g. based on the V-model/ASPICE).
- You will support the requirements gathering, structuring and documentation of future tools and processes as well as the preparation of decision templates suitable for management.
- There is the possibility that topics for Master's theses can be developed from the innovative range of topics.
Necessary Skills:
- Ongoing studies in the field of computer science, business informatics, industrial engineering, information technology or a comparable field of study
- Experience in modeling/programming software, ideally with JavaScript, HMTL/CSS, node.js
- Experience with code management systems (git)
- Basic knowledge of software modeling (e.g. UML)
- Knowledge of MS Office products (PowerPoint, Visio or similar)
- German and English language skills (at least B2, preferably C1 or better)
Desired Skills:
- Experience in front-end development
- Good knowledge of D3.JS and Express.JS
- Knowledge of GraphQL, in a common web framework especially React (or Angular, Vue)
- Knowledge in the area of GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes
- Experience in modeling processes is an advantage, e.g. in BPML
- Experience in the application of clean coding principles
- Communication and teamwork skills as well as a high willingness to learn and initiative
