Are you passionate about artificial intelligence and looking to gain hands-on experience in the automotive industry? We are seeking motivated students to join our dynamic team and contribute to a cutting-edge Generative AI (GenAI) project. You will be working closely with our experienced Data Scientists on developing in-car applications powered by AI, which enhance user experiences and are managed intelligently by AI agents.
As part of your role, you will assist in developing Large Language Model (LLM) APIs and manage databases using a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) system, supporting the AI agent's capabilities. Your Tasks:

• You will assist in developing and integrating LLM APIs for in-car applications
• You will support database management and optimization using RAG systems
• You will collaborate with the AI team to enhance the AI agent’s functionalities
• You will contribute to research, testing, and implementation of new features

Necessary Skills:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
• Good knowledge of machine learning and AI concepts, particularly Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Fundamental knowledge in vector/graph databases and retrieval systems
• First hands-on experience with in-context-learning, few-shot-learning in LLMs
• Experience with Python programming
• Experience with FastAPI for developing LLM-based APIs
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
• Eagerness to learn and apply new technologies in real-world scenarios
• Proficiency in English and understanding-level skills in German

Desired Skills:

• Previous experience with AI projects, especially in Generative AI or NLP
• Understanding of RAG systems and their application in AI
• Experience with cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization tools like Docker is a plus

Remuneration is based on our collective wage and salary agreement. The current hourly rate for this position is EUR 17.52. From February 2025, the hourly rate for this position will be EUR 18.10.
