As the Infrastructure Solutions department, we operate the company's basic infrastructure. We are looking for an experienced F5 network engineer to support us in the design, implementation and maintenance.

Your Tasks:

• You design, implement and maintain F5 components in mission-critical environments
• You customize and manage BIG-IP objects
• You analyze and troubleshoot complex network and application deployment issues in F5 environments
• You use TMSH and configuration tools to monitor BIG-IP resources, secure the BIG-IP configurations and manage F5 tools
• You provide proactive support for data center networks to ensure high availability and performance
• You provide technical advice to internal teams in the context of F5
• You coordinate closely with the security team and corporate security and manage external service providers

Necessary Skills:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in computer science/computer engineering, engineering, related disciplines or comparable professional experience
• Good knowledge of OSI model, network protocols and technologies, application logic and firewalling
• Basic configuration, troubleshooting and monitoring of BIG-IP systems and Cisco routers and switches
• Use of TMSH, configuration tools and diagnostic tools
• Knowledge of modern authentication mechanisms, including SAML and certificate-based
• Backup and archiving of BIG-IP configurations
• Good knowledge of German and English at level B2

Desired Skills:

• Expertise in network security, SDN, DNS, DHCP, IPAM etc
• Extensive experience with F5 devices, in particular LTM, APM and ASM (AWAF)
• Knowledge of iRules
• Experience in troubleshooting
• Experience in solution design based on customer requirements
• Experience in the design and implementation of hybrid cloud network solutions
