This challenge awaits you:

We are looking for you to join our team to undertake a thesis in the field of embedded software development.

Your Tasks:

  • You will work on embedded real-time systems, primarily in the automotive powertrain sector - from conception to commissioning.
  • You will gain insights into system architecture, systems engineering, requirements management, implementation and system integration.
  • You will work with model-based or code-driven software development.
  • You will apply your specialist and methodological knowledge in the field of embedded software development as well as in the digitalization and automation of processes.
  • You will design the software systems of the future for electromobility and fuel cells in combination with the further development of software for current hybrid and combustion engines. 
  • You will support the further development of multicopter drones, e.g. through flight tests and the operation of ArduPilot systems.

Necessary Skills:

  • Ongoing studies with a focus on computer science, computer engineering or a comparable course of study
  • Programming knowledge and experience in C or C++, Python, ROS2 MATLAB/Simulink and additional scripting languages are an advantage
  • Basic knowledge in control engineering
  • A2 pilot's license and RC remote pilot 
  • Very good knowledge of German (C1 level or native speaker) and good knowledge of English (B2 level)

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of embedded real-time systems in the field of automotive, powertrain, drones or robotics
  • Understanding of software development processes and methods (e.g. SPICE, SCRUM, etc.)
  • Initial knowledge of Linux
  • Structured way of working, initiative, creativity

Remuneration is based on our collective wage and salary agreement. The current monthly salary for this position is EUR 1.012.00.
