At IAV, we work on many high-profile projects in the automotive industry. This requires us to provide our customers with creative solutions in a very dynamic working environment. To achieve this goal, we are looking for students who want to join us on this journey to expand our office in Martorell, Barcelona. Regardless of whether you are interested in an internship or a thesis, you will be involved in development processes that require an understanding of the comprehensive nature of series production and its development. You will also support the experts on site in Barcelona, but also in Germany in this field.

Your Tasks:

• You provide support in OBD calibration.  
• You will work with various ADAS functions.
• You deal with the topic of functional safety.
• You test connected functions.
• You provide support in software development.
• You will carry out model tests and calibration.

Necessary Skills:

• Ongoing studies in the technical field
• Good understanding of communication protocols such as Ethernet, CAN and LIN
• Basic knowledge of the most common development processes such as V-model or ASPICE
• Programming skills in Python, C++, HTML or similar programs
• Understanding of version control systems such as GitHub or SVN
• Basic knowledge of model-based software with tools such as MatLab, Simulink 
• Commitment, willingness to learn and team spirit 
• Interest in the automotive industry, regulations and standards

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with working with embedded systems and RTOS platforms such as AUTOSAR, OSEK
• Basic experience with unit tests, integration tests, UI tests or system tests
• Good understanding of signal conditioning and processing
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Gitlab
• User knowledge of ticket and information systems such as Jira and Confluence
• German and Spanish language skills are an advantage; however, the main language in the office is English (at least C1 level)
• Driving license class B
